Awareness Program
  • On 13th May, 2021 an awareness programme on COVID-19 part-II was organized by the Department of Microbiology and Biochemistry. Dr.A.Padmavathi and Dr.Sr.P.Sunila Rani, Controller of Examinations were the resource persons of the programme. They spoke on Inheritance of Vaccination and the vaccine of COVID-19.

  • An online workshop on guidance on Psychosocial and counseling skills was organized on 10th June, 2021 to the students in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi National council of Rural Education, Department of Higher EDUCATION, Ministry of Education Govt.of India. Online training was given to students by the resource person Mr.Suresh Jampa, MGNCRE, on Psycho-social and counseling skills. Programme started with a prayer conducted by Dr.Sr.P.Sunila Rani and Dr.A.Padmavathi proposed vote of thanks.

  • An online training on counseling and psycho social support to COVID-19 victims was organized on 19th June as a part of St.Theresa’s COVID-19 counselling and wellbeing hub. Dr.A.Padmavathi, H.O.D. of Microbiology and Biochemistry created an awareness on sanitation practices through online. The students participated actively in the programme.

  • On 5th July, 2021 Ch.S.D.St.Theresa’s College for Women (A), Eluru celebrated its 69th Foundation Day on google meet platform. The origin and glorious history of the college was unveiled by Dr.Sr.Marietta Pudota, Correspondent and Superior. On this occasion glimpses of growth and development of college was told to the students by Dr.Jyothi Kumari, HOD, Dept. of Nutrition & Dietetics. Mrs. Ume Salma, H.O.D of Telugu & Hindi Departments has presented the history of the college in the form of mime and explained the vision of the college to the audience. This event was well organized by the Department of Applied Bio-Sciences headed by Dr.A.Padmavathi, Dr.Sr.Sunila Rani, Controller of Exams.

  • On 30th JULY, 2021 Dr.A.Padmavathi was felicitated on completion of 25 years of long service in this prestigious institute. She was felicitated by the Management, Department members, Staff club members and family. It was a happy and memorable day for the Department and for Dr.A.Padmavathi. She as a learning members, she has acquired M.Phil, Ph.D parallel to her service in this college. She worked as lecturer and presently assumed as Head of the Department of Microbiology and Biochemistry.
  • On 15th Aug, 2021 Ch.S.D.St.Theresa’s College for Women (A), Eluru celebrated 75th year of Independence.

  • Superannuation of Mrs. Kanya Kuamri the Lab Assistant, Department of Nutrition on 31st August, 2021. She has rendered 40 long years of service in this institute and most of her services are in the Department of Applied Sciences. All through her service she has gained the appreciation of Management, staff and students for her committed work.

  • On 23rdSep: Dr.A.Padmavathi, H.O.D. of Microbiology and Biochemistry, attended Prevention of sexual harassment act meeting held at Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamahendravaram. Representatives from various colleges of AKNU attended the meeting. AP.Mahila commission Chairperson, Mrs.Vasi Reddy Padma addressed the gathering. Madam insisted on constitution of Internal complaints committee cell in all affiliated colleges and also asked the members to collect the grievances from time to time .She gave an assurance of redressing the grievances. Mrs.Rahemunnisa, Bar association member, Visakhapatnam enlightened the audience on constitution of ICC, its functioning with examples. Right information on right time was given.

  • On 26th October : Department of Applied Sciences organized 69th Union Inauguration. The procession was lead by the Head of the College our Principal Dr.Sr.Marietta D’Mello followed by Vice Principal and PG Directress Dr.Sr.Showrilu, Chief Guest Dr.K.V.Padmavathi, Former HOD of Home Science and All the union bearers. Chief Guest of the programme addressed the students emphasizing their responsibility and she also stressed on balancing life and how one should move forward with the support of others. Our Principal Dr.Sr.Marietta D’Mello enlightened the students about the life of our founders as the day was also founders day. Message was given by Dr.Sr.Marietta Pudota, Superior & Correspondent congratulated the union bearers and emphasized on characteristics of leaders which helps in keeping the values of the college. The chief guest Dr.K.V.Padmavathi felicitated during the programme.
