Professor, Dept.of Business Management – HMB Garhwal, Central University, Uttarakhand on 5th February 2022 from 11 am to 1 pm. Nearly 150 Students Participated in this Session

Republic day Celebrations - 2022 :
We the department of Computer Science have organized the Republic Day Celebrations on virtual Platform...where the students have actively participated to show their Patriotism in the program through songs,dance and speech..this virtual celebration made the participants feel very happy as they were attending with their family members.The program ended with National Anthem

• The academic year has started in the month of June on the virtual platform through Google Meet We adopted the LMS system for teaching and learning methodologies to teach the students. These classes have been continued on virtual platform till October.


• Independence Day celebration inspires the young generation to serve the country. On 15th of August 2021, 75th Independence Day was celebrated virtually by the Department of Computer Science. Mrs. A.Mamatha Head of the Department gave a message on Patriotism and Sacrifices of our freedom fighters .our ward students participated in various cultural activities like dance, speech and singing . Finally ward students and staff of the Department celebrated Independence Day to show their solidarity towards the nation.
• On 19th July 2021 department of computer science organized a webinar on “Route map to Career Options” under the able guidance of principal Dr. Sr. Marietta D’ Mello, the resource person was Mrs.D.Valli Padmavathi,Project Manager,Wipro Technologies at Hyderabad addressed the students of B.Sc,B.Com,BBA&.Voc final years.


• On 28th August, Saturday Department of computer science organized a webinar on “Media Education in Andhra Pradesh Scope and Opportunities” for the Students through Google Meet, it’s an awareness program in public it was organized under the able guidance of Dr.Sr.MariettaD’Mello the Resource persons Mrs.M.B.Sudha Rani,Mr.Yaseen Anwar Basha Sk.

The Department of Computer Science is organized a work shop on “BIG DATA HADOOP & CLOUDCOMPUTING” in collaboration with ROBOSOL ,AAKAR IIT BOMBAY under RUSA 2.0 from 3rd Dec 2019 to 4th Dec 2019. The Resource persons are Mr.P.Rahul Naidu Research Development Engineer at Robosol, AAKAR IIT Bombay explained the basic concepts on Big Data Hadoop and Cloud Computing, AWS (Amazon Web Services) services and Mr.Vasanth Sena Reddy working as developer at Mu Sigma Inc, Banglore practically demonstrated the cloud services. In this workshop nearly 160 students actively participated. At the end of this workshop they conducted competition for the students and presented certificate of Appreciation for them.As a part of this AAKAR IIT Bombay presented various certificates like Certificate of Excellence, Certificate of Appreciation, and Certificate of Participation

KAHOOT App Demonstration

As our college is a Network Institute of IIRS, Dehradun, the Department of Physics & Electronics has coordinated a live & interactive program on “46th IIRS course on Advances in Remote Sensing and Geospatial technologies for Disaster early warning, monitoring and mitigation” during 8th July 2019 – 12th July 2019. 55 students and 10 faculty have participated in this program.

LMS ( Learning Management System ):

Mrs.G.Radhika attended E-Content development classes using LMS, she trained all the faculty of Computer Science Department

Learning management system (LMS) is a software application for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting, and delivery of educational courses, training programs, or learning and development programs.

An LMS delivers and manages all types of content, including video, courses, and documents. In the education and higher education markets, an LMS will include a variety of functionality that is similar to corporate but will have features such as rubrics, teacher and instructor facilitated learning, a discussion board, and often the use of a syllabus.

BOARDS OF STUDIES

Department of Computer Science held Boards of Studies meeting on 6th Feb, 2020. Dr.A.YesuBabu was the University nominee and Mr.D.Suneel Kumar was the subject expert from Government Degree College, Rajamahendravaram

Minutes of the meeting of board of studies in B.Sc Mass Communication held on 5th Feb, 2020 Members present Principal Dr.Sr.Marietta D’mello, Mr.P.John senior faculty, department of visual communication,from Andhra Loyola college from Vijayawada was subject expert.

ACADEMIA COMPETITIONS

Department of Computer Science organized TECH-HUNT competition as part of Academia-2019. The motto of this TECH-HUNT competition is to develop the students Technical skills in solving the problem. Totally 136 students have participated in this competition.

ATTENDED NATIONAL SEMINAR ON BLAB-SAP-2019

On 5th & 6th July 2019 Computer Science Department members Mrs. P.Lakshmi Prasanna, Mrs.A.Mamatha, Ms.N.Anusha Rose and Mr. P. L.N. Manoj Kumar along with three students of II BSC Computer Science attended Two day National Seminar on the topic “BLOCKCHAIN AND BITCOIN SOLUTIONS AND APPLICATIONS” BLAB-SAP-2019 organized by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamahendravaram .

Department of Computer Science organized a guest lecture on ETHICAL HACKING on 27-8-2019 the resource person for this lecture is Mr.J.Vamsidhar,Technical Director SECURIUM fox technologies Pvt.Ltd ,Vijayawada. He is a certified ethical hacker. Sir explained many topics like encryption and decryption of text, how to hack website and mobiles. The purpose of this guest lecture was to expose the students to the field of ethical hacking and cyber security.

On 16th September 2019 , Mrs.T.Swathi Lecturer in Computer Science along with Six B.Sc students participated in State Level Power Point Presentation on “Emering Technologies in Computer Science” in SVD Govt. Degree College(W),Nidadavole. They got third prize in PPT competition on the topic “BLOCK CHAIN”.

Mr.P.L.N Manoj Kumar the Faculty Organizer for Certificate Courses of IIT Bombay had conducted online examination from 6th October 2019 to 12th October, 2019 for all the UG & PG students. Totally 275 PG students and 1036 UG students attended this course. Mr.V.Gopinadh lecturer in Mathematics department and all the faculty Co-Ordinators of various departments has taken part for conducting this examination

Mrs. G.Prasanthi and Mrs.T.Swathi attended a Workshop on SWOC- Analysis for Teacher Excellence on 26th November, 2019 Organized by Department of English. The Resource Person for this program is Mr.M.Nagaraju,eminent softskill Trainer,Telangana

Mrs. G.Radhika lecturer in Computer Science department presented a paper on “The Optimized Energy Resource Utilization in Wireless Networks with Taxonomy of Hybrid Protocol Hierarchy “ in International Conference on Multidisciplinary Academic Research Thailand 2019 on 16th November, 2019 in Asian Institute of Technology Conference Center, Thailand

Computer Science Department members Mrs.A.Mamatha, Ms.N.Anusha Rose and Ms.V.Valli Gayathri presented a paper on “An Optimized Tree Solutions to Handle Key Escrow in DTN “ in International Conference on 8th January 2020 in University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

CLUB INAUGURAL

The Department of Computer Science inaugurated “ DIGIT” club on 28th June , for the academic year 2019-20. Mrs.P.Lakshmi Prasanna, Head of the Department welcomed the students into the “DIGIT” club and motivated them to take active participation in the upcoming events , which will enhance their future. K. Ramya Keerthana, of II MPCS was elected as a President for this club.

Semi-Christmas celebrations

Semi-Christmas celebrations were organized by Department of Computer Science on 18th December 2019, Wednesday. The students of the college exhibited a play about the birth of Jesus Christ and about the festival. The college superior Rev Sister LourdMary conveyed Christmas greetings to the students on the occasion. The chief guest of this programme was Rev.Fr.Bala Raju President of Mariyapuram, Janampet, Eluru, explained the significance of the festival to the students. Christmas brings joy and peace to entire world. The students presented various cultural programmes on the occasion.
