Department Activities

On March 23rd, 2024 SPACE club was held. I M.Sc chemistry students and their faculty members were also invited. On the eve of World Meteorological Day, students presented PPTs on Meteorology.

  • M. Deepika and T. Pushpalakshmi of II M.Sc physics delivered a presentation on the topic of "Meteorology," elaborating on various themes and highlighting preventive measures to protect our planet. Following this, K. Akhila and M. Durga Bhavani of I M.Sc physics presented PPTs on "Climatology."
  • T. Pushpalakshmi of II M.Sc physics conducted a quiz K. Bhavana Ishwarya of I M.Sc physics led a session of fun and clever riddles, engaging the participating students. Dr. Nagalakshmi delivered a wonderful motivational speech, and Dr. A. Nirmala Jyoshna, HOD, congratulated all the students who presented PPTs. Offering valuable feedback, she encouraged them to undertake more activities focusing on recent trends and motivated all SPACE Club members to actively participate.

On January 29, 2024, the second meeting of the Space Club took place in Room No: 108 at 2:30 PM. The event commenced with a prayer service, where Miss Akhila of 1st M.Sc Physics sang a prayer song, followed by Bible reading by Miss DurgaBhavani of 1st M.Sc Physics.

Miss T. Pushpalakshmi of 2nd M.Sc Physics, serving as the master of ceremonies, extended a warm welcome to Dr. A. NirmalaJyoshna, Head of the Department (HOD) of Physics and Electronics, along with Mrs. Deepthi Bhargava and Mrs. ShahilaNishath, the faculty members of PG Physics, presenting them with bouquets.

Subsequently, Miss Deepika and Miss Suneetha of 2nd M.Sc Physics delivered a presentation on the topic "Sources of Energy." They elaborated on various conservation energy sources, highlighting their advantages and disadvantages. Following this, Miss Jaya Sruthi and Miss Sujatha of 2nd M.Sc Physics presented a PowerPoint presentation on "Renewable Energy Integrated Power Sector."

After the engaging presentations, Miss Pushpalakshmi conducted a session of fun and clever riddles, stimulating the minds of the participating students. Dr. A. NirmalaJyoshna, HOD, congratulated all the students who presented the PPTs, offering valuable feedback. She encouraged them to undertake more activities focusing on recent trends and motivated all Space Club members to actively participate.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Miss Sahanavi of 1st M.Sc Physics.
